Position: Assistant Office Manager (1) position

Location: Naung Tayar, Pin Laung Township, Shan State (Southern)

Salary: negotiable based on experience

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Office Manager in managing all back-office support to ensure smooth implementation of project activities
  • Assist in overseeing in financial matters to ensure transparency and that project objectives are met
  • Ensure that all transactions are correctly recorded, fully documented and made on time so that a true and timely set of monthly accounts can be prepared that faithfully reflect the reality of expenditure and are forwarded to HQ on schedule
  • Ensure that an efficient and effective logistics management service is provided to the project and its various entities/ locations (e.g., facilitation for HQ staffs and visitors to the project’s field sites and transportation of goods to the designated destination)
  • Assist Office Manager in supervising, motivating, developing and coaching back-office support team to perform their tasks effectively and in accordance with the project’s standard procedure
  • Contribute to strengthening relationship between the project and relevant government officials and other partners
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual reports are elaborated and submitted to respective government departments and headquarters.
  • Facilitate communication between HQ and Myanmar team as well as all communication requiring translation as requested (where applicable)
  • Other tasks as assigned by (Myanmar) Programme Director and Project Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a university graduate
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Well-developed computer skills, with demonstrated competence in Microsoft office (English and Myanmar)
  • Strong skill in numerical recording, data maintenance
  • Excellent command of English and Myanmar especially in translating (written, spoken and typing)
  • Ability to manage priorities multiple tasks, take initiative and problem solving
  • Must be able to communicate with government departments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and excellent team player, with a flexible and open-minded attitude
  • Can work and stay in Naung Tayar project site
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure
