NNCC and CCDAC study visit to Project Area

§On Dec 18, 2025, a delegation led by Pol.Lt.Gen. Thant Lwin Maung, Joint Secretary, Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC), Myanmar, and Mr. ZHAO Zhongchen, Deputy Secretary-General of China National Narcotics Control Commission & Deputy Director General of Narcotics Control Bureau, Ministry of Public Security, China , attended the 20th Myanmar-China Bilateral Meeting on Drug Control Cooperation and visited Sein Pan Village, Loi Maw Village Tract, led by Mr.Hkam Awng, Programme Director of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation. And visited to local products and coffee farms and meet with villagers.

Thai Embassy study visit to Project Area

On September 3, 2025, the delegation led by H.E.Mr.Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, visited the monastery in Sein Pan Village, Loi Ma Village Tract, after a presentation by Mr.Narong Apichai, the Project Development and Implementation Officer, and inspected the project exhibits. After that, they made a donation to the monks with the village community. Afterwards, the Ambassador and the delegation were hosted for lunch at the Project Office in Naungtayar Township, Pin Laung Township and presented souvenirs.

ONCB and CCDAC Study Visit to Project Area

On July 3, 2025, a delegation led by Pol.Lt.Gen. Thant Lwin Maung, Joint Secretary, Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC), Myanmar, and Pol.Lt.Gen. Pharnurak Lookboon, Secretary-General, Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), Thailand, attended the (26) Thailand-Myanmar Drug Control Meeting hosted by Myanmar and visited Sein Pan Village, Loi Maw Village Tract, led by M.L.Dispanadda Diskul, Chief Executive Officer of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation Headquarters in Thailand. Afterwards, the delegations were hosted for lunch at the project office in Naungtayar and presented with souvenirs.

Capacity Building of Project

On June 9, 2025, 24 Agriculture Center and Coffee Volunteers visited CPP Company’s FARMPRO farm in Aye Tharyar Township to learn about short- and long-term crop cultivation and product production, along with project staff, to improve agricultural technologies and familiarize them with planting methods.

From July 30 to August 6, 2025, project coffee team visited the Doi Tung Project Office to discuss information on improving the coffee industry and coffee farming. In addition, to gain practical knowledge about coffee production, they visited a coffee factory and learned how to do a coffee cupping test.

Lavender Farm of Agriculture Center

Starting from 2024, the project conducted a trial cultivation of lavender to assess its suitability within the project area. The plants were carefully nurtured from the nursery stage in seedling bags through to transplantation into the field. As the lavender plants grew well and became visually attractive, not only local residents but also visitors from other areas began to visit. As a result, a village committee was formed at the model agricultural farm, and a lavender garden was officially opened with an entrance fee of 1,000 MMK.

The income generated from the entrance fees was reinvested as a village development fund for the community where the model farm is located, and it was used for necessary improvements to the garden. The lavender garden has been managed and operated by the village committee members, who also oversee nearby sales activities and maintain cleanliness in the area.

In addition, during the harvesting period, seeds were systematically collected and preserved for future experimental cultivation in the coming years.

Big Farm of Maize – CPPF

On May 27, 2025, CPP conducted a practical demonstration of mechanized maize cultivation on a total of 50 acres of model farms, with the aim of promoting the use of agricultural machinery and advancing technology. In addition, after the maize harvest, demonstrations were also carried out to raise awareness of the advantages and disadvantages of not burning crop residues.

On November 6, 2025, at the mechanized model maize harvesting ceremony organized by CPP Company, the project’s Chief Development Execution Officer, Mr. Narong Apichai, and Program Director, U Hkam Awng, attended the event and delivered remarks explaining the objectives of collaboration in maize production. Following the ceremony, they observed mechanized maize harvesting and shelling processes. They also conducted field visits to inspect the use of maize shelling machines in farms where machinery access was limited, as well as the drying conditions of maize.
